LIVING IN WASAGA BEACH

Wasaga Beach is famous as the world’s longest freshwater beach. Historically Wasaga Beach was a popular summer cottage destination.  In recent years the residential core has expanded significantly. Wasaga Beach’s popularity with home buyers is due to its attractive prices and close proximity to employment opportunities in Barrie, Midland, Borden and Collingwood. It also offers great golfing, hiking, cycling, fishing, kayaking, canoeing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling. The “Rec-Plex” is centrally located with an auditorium, amphitheater and YMCA.

Families enjoy safe swimming in the warm, shallow waters and playing on the wide sandy beach. More activities include Birding at Wasaga Beach Provincial Park, Boating on Nottawasaga Bay which has a Canoe Route of 32 km. In Winter there is Cross Country Skiing and snowshoeing on over 30km of trails at the Wasaga Nordic Centre.
